TAMPA, Florida – Major Arena Soccer League 3 East playoff teams will get to showcase their talents in a MASL arena in the first round of the upcoming playoffs, Commissioner Chris Economides has announced.

MASL3’s two semi-final games will be played at SECU Arena, home of the Major Arena Soccer League’s Baltimore Blast which is celebrating their 40th season of pro indoor soccer in the Charm City in 2021-22.

The second and third seeded teams will meet on Friday., March 25, prior to the Blast’s scheduled game that night against Utica City FC. The first and fourth place teams will then play Saturday night, March 26, prior to the Blast’s schedule game against the San Diego Sockers, a game that will feature two teams with 25 pro indoor soccer championships between them.

“We’re so thrilled and very grateful to Baltimore for allowing us to hold the first-round of our post-season at the SECU Arena. It is a great reward for our teams and fans to be able to play there,” Economides said. “I know our teams are very excited for the chance to play where the Blast play. It’s been one of the sport’s truest model franchise for four decades, so we’re honored to be able to play there.”

The league’s championship game will be played the first weekend of April at the field of the remaining highest seed. The top four finishing teams in the East earn playoff spots.

The Blast already have forged a close working relationship with MASL3, having signed four of their players during the past season to MASL contracts.

“We’re hopeful the Baltimore model can become more widespread throughout all levels of the sport. The MASL pyramid is designed to develop talent and have them move up to the next level, and that’s worked beautifully for the Blast and Kings this season,” Economides added.

Ticketing information for fans of MASL3 teams that will be competing those evenings will be released next week.
