Bentick scores five in Fire victory over Baltimore

The Fredericksburg Fire offense was red-hot last weekend when the team hosted the Baltimore Kings. Uriah Bentick scored five times leading the Fire (3-0-0) past the visitors 13-6.

It was the second meeting of the young season between the two teams who also faced off on opening weekend when Fredericksburg won 7-6.

This time the game had a much different look as the Fire jumped all over the Kings in the first half. Bentick blasted home four of his five goals in the first half helping Fredericksburg to a 9-1 advantage by halftime.

Gabe Beltran and Lucas Mendes each scored twice while added three assists while Keith Witherell also added a pair of goals for the Fire.

Leading the Kings offense was Ben Truong who scored four of the six team goals. Henry Scott scored twice for Baltimore

Goaltender Hamilton Schattgen earned the victory in net for Fredericksburg who are back on the floor this Saturday night hosting the Virginia Marauders.
