Week 13 honorees: Deportivo Shaolin's Daniel Malue and Roc City Boom's Jakeb Mitchell
TAMPA, Florida -- Daniel Malhue, who played for the MASL Kansas City Comets, and Jakeb Mitchell, who played for the MASL 2 Rochester Lancers, have been selected as the Week 13 Major Arena Soccer League 3 Players of the week on offense and in goal.
Malhue, a native of Brazil, appeared in 12 games for the Comets during the 2024-25 season, collecting two goals and three assists. One of his goals was a game winner. This past weekend, he had back-to-back five goal games in leading the MASL 3 Deportivo Shaolin squad to a sweep of the Springfield Demize in two close games, including one that went into overtime.
Mitchell has long been a standout on the Rochester, N.Y. soccer scene, and it is the second time this season he has been honored. He recorded the league's first shut out of the 2025-26 seas for the Roc City Boom in a road win against the Youngstown Nighthawks. He was a All League first-team selection in goal in 2024-25 when he led his team to the league finals.
