TAMPA, Florida -- Wichita is often a busy place when it comes to indoor soccer with six teams calling the greater Wichita area home this year in Major Arena Soccer League 2, MASL 3 and MASL W.
This weekend will mark an historic occasion there as there is a MASL tripleheader at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City Kansas. Deportivo Shaolin will kick off the three games with a MASL 3 matchup against the defending league champion RGV Barracudas. That will be followed by a MASL W matchup between the Lady Luck and OKC Ghosts, topped off with a tasty MASL 2 showdown matchup between two undefeated teams, the Wichita Wings and Iowa Raptors.
RGV is the defending MASL 3 champs, while Deportivo Shaolin features such talent as former Kansas City Comet Daniel Malhue who had five points in 12 games for the MASL team.
"It's a great example of the MASL family working together to present the best product at the best venues," said Chris Economides, who is commissioner of all three leagues. "And I can't think of a better place for it to be happening than Wichita which has one of the most unique and deep traditions in the sport's history."

It's just one of the highlights of Week 10 of MASL 3 action. Deportivo Shaolin will in fact be back in action Sunday against the Springfield Demize. The high-flying Roc City Boom are at home to meet the Youngstown Nighthawks, the Virginia Marauders hit the road to take on Delaware City FC, the Buffalo Gunners travel to meet the Cleveland Samba, there's a good one in the Atlantic Division as the Maryland Storm host Northern Virginia and finally Detroit Waza Flo hosts Kalamazoo United.
Week 11 coming up next weekend is just as busy, with key matchups that include the OKC Certified Lions in Austin and a tangle for the top of the table in the Atlantic between the Baltimore Kings and Delaware City FC.
