There will be a new team on the Major Arena Soccer League 3 scene in 2023-24. The DMV Gunners have been approved to join the league which just wrapped up its third season.

Based in Westminster, Maryland DMV Gunners will play home games at Carroll Indoor Sports Center.

In operation for 30 years, the CISC is a 66,000 square foot facility featuring three indoor fields as well as one basketball/volleyball court.

Michael Bernecker owns and operates the Gunners who are in the process of creating logos for the club.

"I am very excited to join MASL 3 and see where this journey takes us," commented Bernecker.

DMV Gunners are the sixth member team to join MASL 3 which was established in 2020. NoVA FC are defending champion after defeating Philadelphia Spartans in an overtime thriller of a final on April 8.

MASL 3 Commissioner Chris Economides also shared his excitement with the expansion news.

"We are pleased to have Michael and his club join MASL 3," said Economides. "Their facility is top-notch and the team has an opportunity to do big things there."
