In the lone matchup of Week 11 DMV Gunners (5-2-0) held on to defeat the visiting Fredericksburg Fire (4-3-0) by the score of 9-7. With the win DMV now sit atop the MASL 3 table.

Vilius Matalavage opened scoring for the home team who led 3-1 after one quarter. Edgar Godoy and Greg Adams each scored a pair in the first half to help the Gunners build a 5-3 halftime advantage.

Third quarter goals by Jamal Coleridge and Manny Ruiz had the home side in command leading 7-4 heading into the final frame.

The Fire would not go down without a fight though, battling back on the strength of a hat trick scored by Uriah Bentick. Trevor Bottomley added his second of the game to get Fredericksburg within a goal, but the Fire could not complete the comeback. Godoy finished off his hat trick with 3:44 to play before Jason D'Addario closed out scoring just over two minutes later.

Next up for the Gunners is a road trip to Baltimore to face the Kings on Saturday. Fredericksburg will host the Virginia Marauders also next Saturday.
