TAMPA, Fla. -- The Fredericksburg Fire made their Major Arena Soccer League debut Saturday night, and didn't disappoint their enthusiastic fans, rallying for a two-goal halftime deficit to defeat the Baltimore Kings, 9-7.

The back and forth affair came right down to the final minutes, after the Kings (1-1) raced to a 4-2 lead at intermission.

The Fire rally started with a three goal third quarter, led by Nate Foglesong who also added an important goal in the fourth. Teammate   Keith Witherell , however, was the offensive star, getting both of Fredericksburg's two first half goals. He completed his hat trick with a key insurance goal with about two minutes to play.

Uriah Bentick also had a pair of goals for the home standing Fire, while  Henry Mordica  and Anthony Solorzano had a goal each.

The Kings were led by Henry Scott's three-goal outburst. Baltimore also got goals from Gavin Boyer, Alex Shipley, Josh Danza and David Boretti.

Because of inclement weather, the other scheduled M3 game between Skyline City and NOVA FC was postponed, and will now be played on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Winchester Fieldhouse in Winchester, Va.
