Indiana United permanently expelled from Major Arena Soccer League 3

TAMPA, Florida – Major Arena Soccer League 3 officials have announced Indiana United has been permanently expelled from the league effective immediately for failure to comply with league bylaws.

Previously scheduled Indiana home games will be declared as forfeits for the visiting team. For previously scheduled away games for the United, the league is working with  teams to reschedule  to ensure a full home slate of games for those clubs affected.

“It is unfortunate that an organization chose to simply disrespect the hard work and dedication that all of our other teams are putting forth on a daily basis. But as a league, we will not tolerate teams that choose to be insolent about their commitments,” Commissioner Chris Economides said. “That said, it is also critical going forward that as a league we pledge to more thoroughly investigate and vet any clubs that want to be part of the MASL family.”

Economides added that individuals and clubs from across North America continue to reach out for possible inclusion in the 2026-27 season and beyond.

“I literally am taking calls almost weekly from teams interested in joining the MASL pyramid," he added. “It is a privilege to play under the MASL banner, and taking this unfortunate step, in the long run, helps us to insure standards and expectations that will continue to grow the game and the league in a responsible, professional manner.”

The league's regular season will run through March, with a national playoffs to follow to determine a champion for MASL 3, now in its fifth season..
