TAMPA, Fla. -- Major Arena Soccer League 3 will kick off it's regular season this weekend with three games in its two divisions.

Action begins at Hartman Arena on Saturday at 3 p.m. Central Standard Time when FC Wichita hosts the Springfield Demize in a midwestern division clash.

In the eastern division, the Philadelphia Spartans will host Northern Virginia FC in an 8:30 p.m. kickoff at the XL Sports World  in Mt. Laurel. The Spartans are led by indoor standout Jeremy Ortiz, who started his pro arena soccer career with the Philadelphia Kixx from 2008-2010.

He will serve as the Spartans head coach. Ortiz is a Mount Laurel native, and was a Lenape High School Soccer standout where he was the team MVP, All Olympic Conference, All South-Jersey, and an All-State player in 2003. He then played collegiately at La Salle University where he was a three-time All Atlantic 10 All Star, three-time  Philly Soccer 7 All Star, and Regional All-American from 2004-2008.

The weekend slate will be rounded out Sunday at 9 p.m. when Baltimore Kings will host Skyline City CF at the Harford Sports Performance Center.

There are three games each of the next two weekends as the rest of M3 swings into action, with a schedule of four games set to finish the month on Jan. 29 and 30.
