MASL 3 weekend recap

Six teams were in action on January 20 which saw 46 goals scored in the three games.

NoVA FC 10, Salisbury Steaks 7

A competitive game throughout, NoVA outscored the host team 4-2 in the second half to secure the victory.

Bernardo Majano led all scorers with three goals while Iliass Laghjibi scored a pair and assisted on three others.

Gavin Yingling and Odie Johnson each scored a pair of goals for Salisbury in the loss.

Philadelphia Spartans 10, Fredericksburg Fire 9

The first-place Spartans won a thriller over the host Fire when Nick Brown scored in the final second of regulation.

Jason Rocha (three goals, three assists) led the Spartans offense with six points. Jordan Maldonado also netted the hat trick while Hunter Dyson added a pair.

Uriah Bentick scored three times, assisting on two others for the Fire. Colin Ryan scored twice in the final quarter.

DMV Gunners 6, Baltimore Kings 4

Making their home debut, DMV Gunners sent the crowd home happy.

Gavin Shiels scored twice to lead the home side. Matt Yingling had another solid performance for DMV with a goal and two assists while Manny Ruiz chipped in with a goal and assist.

Henry Scott scored three of the four Kings goals in a losing effort.
