Players of Week honorees lead division leaders in Atlantic, and South Divisions
TAMPA, Florida -- Two division leaders have had players selected for Offensive and Goalkeeper of the Week honors following big wins this past weekend that allowed their teams to claim the top spot in the Atlantic and South divisions.
Irvin Mojica -- a former player in the MASL -- is the second straight Deportivo Shaolin player to be honored for his offensive prowess, after former MASL player Daniel Malhue won the honor last week. Mojica scored five goals in a win over the OKC Certified Lions, who are second in the South. Mojica played 19 games in the MASL, with both the San Diego Sockers and Monterrey Flash, scoring seven goals and adding six assists.
First-year Delaware City FC has surged to the top of the highly competitive Atlantic, boosted by a big 6-3 win over the three-time league champion Northern Virginia team that traveled to Wilmington last weekend.
