TAMPA, Florida -- Santa was in a giving mood early this year, at least for fans in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Oklahoma City and Delaware where teams all scored double-digits in goals in picking up Major Arena Soccer League 3 wins this past weekend.
More than 100 shots on goal were recorded as the Cleveland Samba downed the Sahara Gunners by scoring 22 times. Delaware netted 15, Oklahoma City 14 and Cincinnati 12 in getting wins. Only the Baltimore Kings failed to reach double digits, but that didn't stop them from winning their fourth straight to open the 2025-26 season.
After Christmas, the mistletoe will still be hanging in Westminster, Maryland, Oklahoma City and Wichita, Kansas with three games set for the coming weekend. The RGV Barracudas, defending league champions, will open their season on the road against OKC to highlight the upcoming action. And the Wichita Selection will be at home for their first game of the 2025-26 season as well.
