TAMPA, Florida -- A fairly light slate of action as team's recover from the Christmas holiday and get ready to go full throttle into 2026, but there schedule does include the Major Arena Soccer League 3 defending champion RGV Barracudas making their debut in Week 7.
The Brownsville based side defeated the Roc City Boom in last spring's title match. After racing to a 7-1 lead, Rochester put on a furious rally but RGV ended up with the trophy and an 8-6 win. They will be on the road to meet the OKC Certified Lions on December 27 in a 6:30 p.m. CST kickoff, part of the MASL 2 / MASL 3 doubleheader in Oklahoma City as the Texas Spurs are in town for date with OKC starting at 4 p.m. CST.
Two team's making their season debuts will face each other Saturday as the Wichita Selection host Deportivo Shaolin at The Sports Zone, and there's an interesting matchup in the Atlantic where the Maryland Storm look to capture the form that scored them a big season-opening win as they host Cumberland Valley who has played well but is still looking for its first win.
Post New Year's, action heats up with a six-pack of games January 3-4 including the season and home debut for the Youngstown Nighthawks and the Roc City Boom.
