TAMPA, Florida -- If the RGV Barracudas can make another deep run in the Major Arena Soccer League 3 playoffs in 2025-26, they might look back at Week Eight as the reason they might do just that.
The defending league champions found themselves down 7-2 entering the fourth quarter in Austin over the weekend, but scored seven times in the final period to complete a furious rally for their first win of the season.
Elsewhere, the high-flying Roc City Boom lived up to their name and reputation in scoring 23 goals in their season-opening win, and Cumberland Valley went on the road to secure it's first-ever win as a new team in the league.
Cincinnati won again, as did Northern Virginia, and the Buffalo based Sahara Gunners to complete the weekend of action.
Next weekend, the Muskegon Risers make their MASL 3 debut after their long run in MASL 2, while a handful of other teams make their home debuts including the RGV Barracudas, Deportivo Shaolin in Kansas City, Indiana United, and the Sahara Gunners.
