TAMPA, Florida -- Players around Major Arena Soccer League 3 may have made some New Year's resolutions to score a few more goals in 2026. If so, mission accomplished if Week 9 action is any indication.
The offensive barrage was led by, not surprisingly, the Roc City Boom, who after scoring 23 goals in their season-opening win pumped in 22 to improve to 2-0. The Muskegon Risers played to a large and appreciative crowd at Trinity Health Arena and netted 14 in their season opener. The OKC Certified Lions scored 16 (and gave up 11) in their win while the Maryland Storm scored 14 in their third win of 2025-26.
Additionally, Delaware City FC scored put 13 in the goal in a win over Cumberland Valley, the Springfield Demize scored 11 in a win over the Wichita Selection. The RGV Barracudas also defeated Austin's The Bold Dream FC for the second time in two weekends, and was the only team in the league to win this past weekend without reaching double digits in goals.
More New Year's resolutions will be put to the test in Week 10 upcoming this weekend, with several potential explosive matchups including Northern Virginia in Westminster, Maryland, to take on the Storm, Roc City Boom at home against Youngstown and RGV at Deportivo Shaolin.
