Week Three: Wivell nets five as Maryland Storm stop Delaware City comeback bid

TAMPA, Florida -- The Maryland Storm built a six goal lead, and then had to withstand a furious Delaware City rally to pick up a season-opening win in Week Three of Major Arena Soccer League 3 action.

Drew Wivell, who played high school soccer in Gettysburg and collegiately for Ohio Wesleyan, scored five times in his MASL debut. He also plays for the NISA Maryland Wildcats. Both are new teams in the Atlantic Division this season.

One other start over the weekend was postponed due to dangerous travel conditions in the Midwest. The Cincinnati Swerve will now host the Muskegon Risers on Saturday, December 13 at 8 p.m. For the latest on the weekend action, and up to date league stats, standings and other information CLICK HERE!!!
